Hiring an interior designer is a totally personal choice—and if you’re not ready to fully commit, I offer several ways to work together that can meet you where you are.
That said, there are a lot of upsides. One of the biggest is saving time and stress. Design isn’t just about furniture—it’s hundreds of small decisions: knobs and pulls, trim profiles, paint finishes, fabrics, lighting, layouts, and all the in-between details. On top of that, everything has to be ordered, coordinated, delivered on time, and installed correctly. Managing all of that alone can quickly become overwhelming.
Designers also know how to avoid costly mistakes—ones that can blow your budget or derail your timeline (and delays are often the most expensive part). Experience matters when it comes to sequencing, proportions, materials, and knowing what looks good versus what actually works in real life.
I also bring access to trusted trades, vendors, and resources you wouldn’t typically have on your own. Whether the goal is increasing your home’s value, creating a space that feels more inviting and functional, or taking a more thoughtful, eco-conscious approach, a designer helps you get there with clarity and confidence.
Ultimately, my job is to take your vision and turn it into a cohesive, livable space—without the headaches.

This is an ever-evolving process for me! Generally, when I start working with a client, the first thing I do is get to know them—what they like, what they don’t, and how they live. I’ll ask questions about your daily routines, your favorite colors, and any design inspirations you might have.
Sometimes I can get an idea of what you're wanting from a Pinterest board, or sometimes we’ll go through images, fabrics, and ideas together. I’ll really listen to what you’re saying (and what you’re not saying) to get a feel for your style. My goal is to create a space that’s uniquely yours, so I make sure every choice reflects your personality and how you want to live in your home, but also will be functional for your life and budget. By the end, the space should feel like an extension of you.

Design fees vary depending on your scope of work (which will be provided to you after our initial meeting) and after determining YOUR needs. My fees are either flat rates based on phases of a project, or I bill hourly if you're unsure of what you're needing/need minimal help.
Flat rate fees will have a specified breakdown of deliverables- these will generally cover consultations, concept development, space planning, sourcing materials, creating design drawings, and project management. Additional services, such as custom furniture design or extensive renovations, may incur extra costs and will be noted on your Proposal.

The timeline for each project varies depending on its size, complexity, and my current workload. I can give you a general estimate once we have an initial meeting!

Yes—my initial consultation is a paid kickoff meeting. This allows us to dive into your goals, priorities, budget, and timeline in a focused, productive way. Charging for this time ensures that I can give each project the attention it deserves and work with clients who are ready to thoughtfully invest in their space.
